I put the Manuel tool on it to get it back to neutral so it will start and can use the Manuel tool to move it all the way to 5th gear and it will go all the way to reverse with the down shift button but will not upshift.

Pry open the universal foot pedal shifter so it will fit around the hex. You'll want to take the floor board plastic off for easier access. Also, remove the reduction gears from your ES, located where the shifting motor is.
