I was getting maybe 5 hours from the original battery and re-charging took a loooong time. Went and bought the amped lithium and shed over 4lbs from the unit, getting 10-12 hours of run time depending on backlight setting, and the recharge time is much shorter. I say a lithium is a ‘must have’ with these units. One thing is giving me pause.
