Ds2 best pve weapons.
The real advantage is the weapon variety and the mix of ranged and melee options. For example the Longsword with C/C scaling won't benefit much from 40 DEX, but you can use the Hunter's Blackbow alongside it which will absolutely benefit and has an awesome attack speed. 40 DEX also means higher poison bonus for poison arrows.
Let me put it simple stupid (im at playthrough 8, and have at least 10 builds made in ds1 alone, not a total noob). For post endgame, unbuffed, easy mode: primary - moonlight greatsword secondary - greatsword of artorias (side weapon for magic resistant enemies which are almost non-existant or pvp vs anti-mages) spells - sorcery & dark sorcery (beads pretty much) funs : cursed greatsword ...Sunlight Blade, Crystal Magic Weapon, and Flame Weapon are all as strong as Dark/Resonant Weapon, for their respected elements. As far as viability in combat goes, Dark/Resonant Weapon is still probably the best, because so few armors have high Dark resistance. In terms of PvE too, very few enemies and bosses have Dark resistance.The tier list is kind of wrong. But even if it was true don't judge a weapon without using it. As for infusions, you do them based on optimal damage/stat investment. Some good dex wepaons from various classes: Uchigatana Frayed Blade Follower Sabre Astora Ugs Corvian Scythe Murakumo Crow Quills.Any of them. Well, technically, all curved gses are dex-quality weapons since they require some sort of investment in str, but w/e. I loved curved GSes. My main build in DaS1 was a murakumo user, and with the recent return of the Monastery Boogaloo, this weapon class dominates due it sporting an unparriable-two handed moveset (except for rolling).BiS (Best in Slot) PvE weapons list. You can swap the Rapier for a Katana or curved sword (the warped sword is very good) or even the Drakeblood Greatsword or Key to the Embedded. Or a Partizan if you like long pokey things.

DEX doesn't need to be as high as STR, 40/30 will do (later). VIG /END should be 30/20 not other way around. Also, think about raising VIT to 20 at least, slowly.
