1997 4-door 4-wheel drive 145K manual. My RAV4.1 is running without issue except that it suddenly cuts out (dies) intermittently. It is as if the engine has been switched off. It does set a P0300 code which does clear if you restart the engine 3X. There is no pattern as to when it will die. It does not sputter, run rough, struggle, etc...Turn the car off as you normally do. Then, with the car in Park, as it should be when parked, and NOT pressing the brake, press the start button ONCE only. Then you have the car in accessory and you can use the radio. Press it once more (again NO brake) and you can use the windows and all the power accessories.Which seems to be hanging down a bit, and seems loose. Pipe/hose may be evap line.
