The piston is nice because it has a suppressed setting, but other than that, 5.56 recoil is really mild, even in an "overgassed" rifle. Both my 12.5” specwar and 12” shovelnose run great. Just use hot ammo hold ur breath. Piston feels the same for all ammo and the DI varies between loads. The piston requires a heavier buffer for me.

The CK-Pro receiver sets look cool but the LMT is battle tested, has ambi-controls, and is a true monolithic upper. LMT is literally top tier… they had some QC issues for a while after hiring a bunch of new workers and trying to keep up with demand but it seems like all of that has been resolved now.
