my gasket stuff , for s/c came w a small tube of black permatex. no gaskets, rtv only. go around whole nose piece tightening little by little.remember, its not lugnuts your tightening. also, do not apply any degreaser/solvent to the rotors. they are coated and removing this coating is said to be bad.(loose sealing capability)(less efficient).

Sounds like it could be leaky lower intake gaskets. This has been an on-going problem (very common on the 3.1 & 3.4's). When the lower intake gaskets get old, the seals around coolant ports begins to seep a bit. And when the engine cools, the oil near these ports gets sucked into the coolant as it cools.

lower intake manifold removal. Hi everyone. I currently am working on a 1996 Camaro 3800 with a cooling issue. I took the UIM off and have taken all the bolts of the LIM out but I cannot get it to break loose. I have tapped it with a rubber mallet and used a prybar under the thermostat area.

That would explain coolant in your oil. I wouldnt drive this thing until its fixed. so order a new upper intake manifold gasket, new valve cover gaskets, new fuel injector o-rings. Drain coolant/flush system and refill with new. When you finish installing all the gaskets and have everything together, drain the oil, and refill with new.
