The S&S is a popular replacement for the harley motor, it can be easily built up to over 100 hp. Corbin said their final product was going to run a audi automatic trans, but the prototype was easier to set up with the VW motor.It will not be an easy swap. It can be made to fit. The 2001 has a Magnetti Marelli EFI and you will need the wiring harness and more if yours doesn't have the MM EFI. As expected it is almost a drop in affair with a few differences. First. You HAVE to swap the stator assembly. The road kind uses a high output stator which is a lot wider. Also the harness is different. Either swap the old sensors and harness or re pin the road king harness.
