I have a real nice 15 HP Gamefisher motor, model 225.587151. I purchased a brand new starter { pulley starter} from a Mercury dealer who now carry parts for the Gamefisher. The motor will not crank from the pulley starter. Its so tight that it has broken off two ropes. The linkage connection bolt wasn't tight so when I would shift in forward it would slip. Same with reverse, and that's why It would either freeze in forward, or neutral and wouldn't shift out of it. Neither one runs, but both look like brand new and came with the original manuals and hang tags from when they were sold.
