Intheburbs, I am sorry to hear that you have problems with your 795. I have the exact opposite experience with my two guns. My Marlin 795 is rock solid, while my Ruger jams with anything but premium ammo. It just shows how different two guns can be. The Marlin with no rifling in the barrel is a wild find.

It's shooting a couple of inches to the right, so I apparently need to tap the rear sight base to the left. Sounds easy enough, but out in the field I apparently wasn't tapping correctly.
