The 39 firing pin has a forward stop leg that limits the amount of firing pin protrusion. New FP's normaly need the face of this "leg" to be faced off for a proper fit. A perfectly fit FP will be as such. With the bolt out of the gun, the rear of the pin will sit flush with the hammer cut recess.
