Figured out the most efficient way. -lock all doors with the keyless clicker. -unlock once with the clicker (this only unlocks the drivers door) -start the car with an extra key. -Manually lock the door and shut it. - then I can unlock the door with my key when it's warmed up.

If the car is running, it could be driven off without the fob nearby (although a message would appear saying the "key not present". However, once the car is turned off, it can not be restarted if the fob is not present.
