2 posts · Joined 2017. #1 · Dec 18, 2017. Hello, wondering if anybody here has the Harbor Freight Badlands 5000# winch (or any other wide spool winch for that matter) installed on their 500? I'm using the EMP winch mount and according to their site it fits. I'm asking because they also said it would fit on my Wolverine and it was a real pain.
The Harbor Freight winch had steel rope and Roller Fairlead (HEAVY!). I would have needed to spend more to replace those. This winch already has the MUCH LIGHTER synthetic rope and simple fairlead. So the combination of the Light-weight Receiver Mount and this Winch is about 80 lbs.
