M1Pro Macbook Pro 16 from work, using an LG 27GL850, and in the middle of a call I noticed my resolution getting really bad. Then, my screen started flickering. Then I noticed it was burned-in even when I unplugged the Macbook. I managed to fix it by changing the refresh rate to 144Hz (I noticed it was set to 60Hz).The full screen dimming is really bad with the LG but bearly noticeable with the G8. The problem with the G8 is if you use DisplayPort and let the monitor naturally enter sleep mode, there is a high likely hood of crashing your pc. Both of these monitors are extremely flawed in one way or another and I really hate paying over 1.5k for compromises.
