There is a wheel-type rheostat for the gauges in the bank of buttons on the lower dash above the driver's left knee. The touch screen has its own separate dimmer in Settings. (I find that slightly annoying but I don't have to change it much.) To my surprise, that rheostat only works when light is at on position.
