On Oct. 2, Brent Minton, a 33-year-old employee of Orange County REMC, was fatally injured in an accident as he loaded a utility pole onto a truck at the electric cooperative’s headquarters. The pole slipped out of the rigging, struck Minton and killed him instantly. Minton was a journeyman lineman and worked at Orange County REMC for 12 years.
