Hey, I recently had a similar problem with a pair of glasses from Costco. The left side of the left lens (single vision) was distorted. I told them, and they ran some tests on the lens in store that showed that there might have been a defect in the lens. They sent the glasses back and had the lens recut, which fixed the problem.

With that said, both Costco and the independent store will wran you that putting lenses into old frames may break the frames.
