Mossberg 500 vs benelli nova.

I love my Benelli NOVA. I have a Mossberg 835. Great gun. But its not a Winchester1300 for sure. I have a Winchester 120 and 1300. They are not turkey guns though. Love the way they feel and function. The only thing nice about my 835 is the camo and the 3 1/2 turkey loads. I would never get rid of the Winchester.

The other pros I can think of with the Mossberg is that it has a bayonet lug and larger tube capacity. The bayonet lug is unncessary imo but to have it as an option might be worth it.

doctorlivingstone. I own both a SuperNova and an 870 Express. I converted the 870 to a defense gun, here's my take. The Remington kicks more, has a finish that's more prone to nicks, and to rust. The Benelli is more comfortable to aim, swing, and shoot. It's modular design is a breeze to dis-assemble and clean.

Can't go wrong with the Nova of course. You can pay $400 for one of these and you won't be disappointed. Reply.Sure, the Remington 870 feels better and isn't as loose and noisy as the Mossberg 500 when cycling it, but if I was in the market for a pump shotgun it would be a Maverick 88 or Mossberg 500/590.
