Traffic on N.C. 12 was not impacted as of Wednesday afternoon, but Rodanthe travelers should use caution and yield to emergency vehicles as needed. It is unknown if the house was occupied at the time of the fire. Mirlo is our favorite area, but we know it can be a gamble to be on such a narrow stretch of sand.
