Yours apparently has different chamber dimensions than mine. Rounds loaded with .357" or .358" bullets will fit the chamber with a couple thousandths to spare; the issue is the small throat diameter.It works great in my .300 Ham'r, a nearly straight wall case a bit longer than the .300 BO. The best performance in the .357 Max comes with 1680 in a wide range of bullet weights. The Legend data on the Hodgdon site lists only the 180gr bullet. The max charge listed is 27gr at about 31kpsi.
