It depends on the lost sector and how fast you can consistently clear that particular lost sector on each difficulty. The Master drop rate is higher, but it is not 2x as high. So, if you are clearing Legend in 5m and Master in 10m, running twice the number of Legend in the same time it would take to do Master will probably get you more drops ...

I've done lost sectors ad nasuem on multiple occasions and have gotten well over 5 exotics in as little as 1.5 hours several times. It's purely RNG. Never bother with master lost sectors. 9/10 times they are a waste of time and effort for what's just under a 10% increase.
