It's why Toll the Dead is such an important cantrip. Sacred Flame sucks in 5E and it sucks in BG3. It's frustrating because the Clerics in BG3 don't have a useful offensive cantrip, not Larian's fault they've recreated the cantrip faithfully, clerics burn through their spells so quickly and become ineffective in combat.

Baldur’s Gate 3 has a lot of items that set your Ability scores to a specific number. These can be fantastic to use, allowing you to entirely dump a stat with no consequence.
