I installed a new filter and 3.8 quarts of 10w-30 Valvoline SJ rated oil. I have since read several articles and chats that state the additives in 10-w30 (energy conserving) oil can cause clutch slippage and damage.

If you have the stock air box, there should be a clear tube under the air box to catch some of the oil. Drain the tube and wipe out the throttle with a dry cloth. 2 Answers. I would recommend a multigrade engine oil API SG or higher and viscosity 10W-40 semi or fully synthetic oil see if has JASO MA additive that´s necessary. Shell Rotella T 15W-40 at Walmart.
