T.Yes the XR2 would rev between 5500 to 6000 compared to 5000-5500 of the standard blackmax. It is slightly ported, 200hp exhaust and jetted carbs. If tha trigger wires don't have "yellow" tape or a "yellow" sleeve on three of tha wires ya can leave me in tha truck. This identifies which three go to which switch box. OK first put the thermostats back in. The thermostats restrict and control the amount of water around the cylinder head. If you run without thermostats the water is circulating too fast and doesn't allow the cylinder head to run at the proper temperature and doesn't allow the cooling water to take the heat from the engine.
