Finally made it to the range with the Glock 43x and the new Dagger Micro 15rd mag. Before going to the range I took the mag apart and checked the spring and did a little sanding inside the mag on the polymer side, on the sharp edges of the follower and the top edges of the the mag. Nothing drastic with the mag, but just a little touch up.
Well, it is really easy to check your release. Simply use your trigger pull gauge. Hold your pistol in a vice and pass your trigger pull gauge through the trigger guard from right to left and place the tip of the trigger pull gauge on the mag release button. Yes mine have worked flawlessly in my 48 and 43x. I have two PSA mags. They cycle great in both my 43X’s. One doesn’t lock the slide back at all (even manually cycling it on an empty mag), the other one only locks back about 30% of the time. I’ve reached out to PSA but have not heard back.
