From the very beginning the car has a problem with a warm start. When Durango tries to start with a warm engine after about 1.5 - 2 hours of standing, it does not want to start. Check all your speaker connections because if there's a short in just one connection the radio will terminate the audio to all speakers. I had the same issue and I traced it to a small short in the front door speaker.Let everything cool for 1/2 hour and it was back to normal. Repeated several times (drop to Empty, slowly return) all the way down Cal 99 as the temps stayed in the 90's and 100's. Once we got back to more reasonable temps, fuel readings returned to normal. Jul 26, 2022 · Most of the time it will crank for about 20-30 seconds then start. Occasionally it will crank for half a second then shut off and when it does this it always starts right up as normal.
