The problem is that the game adjusts trainers based on your highest level pokemon which can kind of trap you. All of my trainers are level 22+ but wild pokemon are like 9-12 and when i try to level up a wild pokemon the exp share levels up my higher level ones. It just creates a vicious cycle lol. For context I don't mind losing to 'boss' type NPCs like gym leaders, rivals, E4 and having to switch out Pokemon in my party or rethinking my strategy, but having to spend hours breeding for perfect IVs or looking for specific wild Pokemon so I can kill them between 63 and 252 times is usually where the fun stops for me.
