Hello everyone! Received this p0028 code on my 08 ll bean forester last weekend when going up to the mountain. Didn’t notice any issue running until I had to climb a pretty steep hill and rpms went over 4K. Checked oil level at each fill up--held full perfectly. 2 days after returning home, CEL back on, pulled the codes--P0011 & P0021. Oil clean and still full. I really don't want to think this is an issue with the turbo--I don't hear any whining/grinding--so I'm hoping it's simply an issue with the timing belt and/or the cam position sensors.
P0028 is for bank 2 oil control valve. On the drivers side cylinder head, right behind the timing cover near the oil fill pipe, is another oil pressure switch. It has a 2 wire connector and looks similar to the one under the alternator.
