I just acquired a Model 97 Trench Gun. I have been trying to determine exactly what I have. Attempts at dating on one site indicates a production date of Dec. 1941, while another in dates it to 1947. The barrel and receiver have matching “E” serial numbers. Top of the barrel has the Winchester markings and a flaming bomb.
