Coolant Overflow Boil But No Overheating. I have a 1996 Suzuki Sidekick Sport and having a strange issue with the coolant. If I take it out on the highway for any length of time, once I get to my destination, the coolant overflow is bubbling and boiling, yet the temp gauge in the vehicle stays right in the middle.

evan1. water pump, or head gasket, when it is running, feel different sections of the hoses too see if there hot OR take cap of and if the coolant moves around, it is the water pump. other than that it would be head gasket, its still a overheating issue. hope this helps:thumbsup:

My problem is coolant is coming out of my over flow drain tube and then when cooling down not all the coolant left in the overflow back into the system as suppose to and only seems to lose coolant when driving because when i idle in the drive way or turn it off i dont show any leaks. I can leave the truck setting idled up and looses no coolant. Kenworth looked at it and said the radiator was plugged but agin the truck does not run hot. If all is well the coolant should just flow by. You could also check the coolant with an exhaust gas tester from an auto parts store... as you might tell, this is diagnostics for a head gasket failure.... which pushing coolant is a symptom. The coolant and oil don't have to be affected in color or consistency to have a hg failure. Coolant coming out overflow but not overheating is a problem that requires immediate attention.
