I have about 7k hours on arma 2/3 and ive spent so much time flying helis in it, simply being able to rebind the heli control keys would be amazing because its really difficult to adjust to new controls after around 2k hours of flying in a diff game with diff controls. Apr 18, 2020 · It's been awhile since I played ARMA 3, but I used to be able to control a helicopter pretty good using a mouse. Now, for some reason the helicopter controls don't work for me anymore. When I try to bank the helicopter using mouse left, it moves very very slow, almost no strafe movement at all. I am trying to change my helicopter controls to the following: Cyclic Forward: W Cyclic Backward: S Cyclic Left: A Cyclic Right: D Collective Raise: Left Shift Collective Lower: Left Ctrl Left Pedal: Q Right Pedal: E And when i save, i try it out and the Collective Lower doesnt work for some reason, i deleted all the BS that was conflicting with it so i dont understand why it isnt working. The standard controls are just clunky and really weird in my opinion. I mean, in real life even someone who has never flown a helicopter can fly one if he gets a 10min introduction from a flight instructor, and the controls in arma 3 are more complicated than in real life. And by all necessary means, Arma is no flight simulator. Maneuver the helicopter sideways with [A] and [D]. Pull the nose down [W] to gain speed and up [S] to lose it. Use the rudder [Q] and [E] to rotate left/right. Use the mouse to control the helicopter smoothly.
