Re: Johnson 150 Ocean Pro Carburaters I have a '98 Johnny 150HP V6, which is pretty similar to yours. Each of it's six carbs has an idle mixture adjustment. It is likely that due to some dirt in the carb idle passages or even someone messing with the adjusters, the mixture is a bit off. I had a problem very similar to yours.
