I have been testing a bit with volatile rounds inside builds, it mostly feels decent but if the explosion of volatile takes out an enemy it: does not count toward leveling your weapon. Currently, the only way to get volatile rounds is by having the specific fragments equipped that give it to you for 3-4 seconds after getting a grenade kill and then you get volatile rounds for void weapons only. This is not enough to compete against Incandescent and Voltshot.

Refreshing/extending Volatile Rounds with Gyrfalcons does properly maintain Anti-Barrier capabilities. Other weird inconsistencies with Gyrfalcons is that it removes the Volatile Rounds that it applies when entering stealth, but does not remove Volatile Rounds applied by other sources such as Volatile Flow.
