Titewad excels at 1 oz. It can do 1 1/8, too, but is too fast for 1 1/8 Handicap. Titegroup, on the other hand, excels at 1 1/8 Handicap. It is reputed to be the canister grade powder which most faithfully duplicates Remington's Nitro-27 load. I've never tried it with 1 oz, because it would probably necessitate a 7/8 wad.

Here's a couple loads I came up with; 308 Win. 168gr Nosler BTHP, moly'd. Milsurp brass. 17.0 gr Unique. CCI 200. 1900 fps. This load calcs about 45K pressure on Quickload, and about 65% fill. It shot about 1 moa accurate in Rem 700 VS 1/12 bbl.Things fit very well. Costs less, meters well, burns clean- great stuff. In a Remington hull you will want a full length wad and NO wad pressure. Titewad is pretty fine grained. On a Mec press the improved sealing properties of the red plastic baffle are a big help.
