I have been using the Spectrum App on Roku since January 2019. The DVR feature has always been less than perfect. You cannot pause live TV unless you are recording the show and have restarted the recording. For example, I record the CBS Mornings news show every day which starts at 7 AM here. I usually start watching in the middle of the show.Can't Preview in FF or RW for Spectrum. I have Roku controlling my Spectrum Streaming TV service. The Samsung tv that the Roku is connected to will not support the cloud dvr using the native software in the tv build 2016. That is the only reason for using the Roku. The onboard Spectrum app in the tv works fine. I have 3 other newer Samsung tvs that I stream using the built in Spectrum software that work fine including the cloud dvr. Bernie

You can mirror your Andorid's phone screen to your Roku device. None of that has anything to do with DVR. If you are looking to cut the cord and get rid of Spectrum you can do that by signing up for YouTube TV, Hulu with live tv, Sling or FuboTV. All of which use a cloud based DVR. I find it a little easier to delete them on my computer by logging in to Watch TV on our website.
