Well, I got an expert opinion on the P1 from the Walther forums. Basically, the serial number on my P1 is dated back to the 50s. So this gun he says likely went through a number of reworks and upgrades at the arsenal. Barrel, frame, slide would have all been replaced as the characteristics don't match a 50s era P1.

I'll guess that it is a KKM because of the similarity of the stock and the trigger, and that manufacture was probably mid 1950s or earlier from the serial number.
