We attended the August 12th rehearsal at Tanglewood. One of the composers was speaking at 9:30 am and we arrived in plenty of time to hear her. Parking was not an issue at all, but this was an early day. We could sit anywhere in the Shed to listen to her conversation. The 210-acre Tappan family estate was gifted to the Boston Symphony Orchestra in 1936 by Mrs. Gorham Brooks and Miss Mary Aspinwall Tappan. The Koussevitzky Music Shed was erected there in 1938.
