Hello Atlas, I've owned a Kimber Eclipse in 10MM, a Delta, and other 10s. I much preferred the Kimber in 10MM, with the ramped barrel and very well supported chamber, over the Delta. Still think the Eclipse was one of the best looking 1911 type guns I ever had. But you're certainly right about people not having the best to say about Kimbers.

They are great magazines and work well in most everything. Try the magazines that came with the gun first, then buy more if they work for you. Some people claim that there should be a 500 round break in period. I'm not going to tell you one way or the other on that issue. What I can tell you is to field strip and clean the gun before heading to the range. Looking at BY THE INCH we can gain +100 fps with some ammo. That is worth persuing for hunting and/or long range shooting. The longer sight radius can make it easier to shoot more accurately.
