I took my roam on a trip over the weekend and it took me many attempts to get it to pair with my phone. Once I got it paired, the app wouldn’t play music. They’re both on the same wifi network, I’ve tried to do it via the app and also via the Roam, nothing works. As long as the Play:1 and Roam are both on the same S2 system and the Roam is within range of your WiFi network, it should work. Try unplugging the Play:1 from power for about a minute and try again.
The Roam isn’t able to connect to SonosNet, so it should already be configured for your local Wi-Fi.
