The grip really stands out on the M&P because Smith & Wesson spent a lot of time figuring out the ergonomics of the hand to fit the pistol. They use the standard 1911 grip angle but it comes with 3 different grip panels that are interchangeable for different hand sizes. The M&P has a pivoting trigger for safety.The Glock has a much lower bore axis than the XD. The trigger reset is better to me on the Glock 19.
