I'm reminded of back in the early days of tractor pulling a local guy had an F-30 Farmall with a blown 427 Chevy engine. The stock F-30 gears took the power fine.

I put a 2.8 V6 chevy out of a blazer in an 8n and it fits nicely without having to lengthen the hood,steering and radius rods. RedRock makes a kit for a 4.3 chevy V6.
