Made in 3 sizes, they are a better fit than any of the others. The 1 oz. DRA-1 Pink wad, (Now a redish Color), is the absolute best fit in Win. AA HS cases, for 1 oz. loads.

They cause very little trouble for my reloading. The 7/8 windjammer wads I have patterned. I did an experiment with 7/8 @ 1200 with the CB4100-12B vs the CB0178-12. I don't remember the specifics, but I do remember the CB-0178 (4-petal) has the hot core that is often talked about with 7/8 sub-1250 loads in the 12 gauge.The AAHS/Longshot loads listed are at or near SAAMI max pressure with the wads they list. I hadn't planned on it. SAAMI max is 12,000psi. According to the Hodgdon website: AAHS, 1oz shot, 15.7gr of Longshot with Win209 is 1,165fps at 10,900psi. I have given up on Win AA hulls, especially if they have been fired more than about twice I noticed that after about 6 months on the shelf after loading, the loaded rounds did some of the "swelling" that you are noticing.All loads patterned well, and shot consistently over the chronograph. When I began comparing 3/4 oz 12Ga versus 3/4 oz 20GA, I found that the patterns were slightly better coming out of the smaller 20GA hull, so I just stuck with that. Older AA CF hulls have more internal volume than HS hulls. CB0178 (grey) or CB4100-12B (Windjammer style) wads give a good stack height. Newer AAHS hulls have less internal volume than the older AA hulls. The CB1100-12 or CB8100-12 (Rem TGT12 clone) give good stack height. Rem Gun Club hulls have slightly more internal volume than AAHS hulls.

Simply using a 7/8 oz, wad, CB0178-12 or Clear Duster, and dropping 7/8 oz. shot makes a superb 7/8 oz. load also, although I usually bump the powder charge up to 17.5 grs.
