Honestly I had trouble too when trying to install yuzu natively on the steamdeck. However if you just install Emudeck it lets you pick specifically which emulators you want, I picked just yuzu and it works out of the box already configured and working on the deck.

Try setting the "Scaling Filter" within the "Performance" tab of the right side menu to "FSR". You should immediately see an improvement.
