The only problem I saw was possibly the sides where they are tucked under on the 09's. This part extends further forward than the 02-08 Rear bumpers and may contact the bedside. Welded the front fully, grinded it down, then filled it in pretty much with a second pass...then welded the back fully.

A second gen bumper will not fit a 1st gen without doing some modifying. The headlight buckets on a 1st gen won't allow the fitment of a 94-99 bumper. If you google (99 3000gt front end conversion) you should be able to find a few different things people have done.
