I'm trying to figure out how my friends can join my game with their debug mode enabled, my friend tried to join but he said it was not possible for him to join only after he removed it. Thats not entirely true. Me and a friend got this game like 2-3 days ago and from the first time we played. He made a server without any guides or external help like Hamachi. Invite/Join through Steam included. The only hard part i'd think is setting up a 24/7 DEDICATED server.

The only way I can think of is that your friend would just host using a dedicated server and keep it running in the background, so either of you can connect and leave at will. After making the dedicated server you can then join it through the hosts IP and save it to your favourites.Players can't join my server without invitation.
