Had a game yesterday where I got jera and the first item I see in the store on the second floor is blank card. I was so happy seeing blank card I almost cried. I now beat greedier with Isaac finally. Yesterday was the first time I broke the game and I have 100+ hours.

It's not detrimental, just not worthwile. You'll have to do it eventually if you're aiming for 1001%, but I would do it while you'll completing the rest of the game so you don't get burnt out.
