swift260. I don't think a pi-hole can be used when the rental gateway is used as a router. It doesn't give you an option to change the DNS server that's given by the DHCP server. Only way to use the pi-hole would be to put the gateway into bridge mode and use your own router behind it.Also I've got to where I've turned bridge mode on on the xfinity modem and have gotten internet access through the Ethernet. I’ve a client with a Comcast (Xfinity) XP7 gateway. It’s running OK. Between the client’s networked devices and the gateway is an SPI firewall. By putting the gateway into bridge mode its wifi is disabled, which is the client’s requirement. Then the gateway should still let networked devices behind the firewall access the outside world.Plug your computer directly into the gateway and then access the Admin Tool by going to 10.0.0.1 (or whatever ip you changed it to).
