I've had it happen once or twice after Shb launch in PVE content. Man this issue drove me up the fucking wall. Its caused by anytime your audio driver disconnects, whether it be a short in the wiring or manual disconnection. You must restart the client to get the sound back. Only way to remedy this is with a virtual sound device (which cannot disconnect unless it crashes, which doesn't really happen).Make sure all audio selected in windows is the correct item and you can even go into the audio sounds in windows to make sure the default playback and recording are the right line items.
