Dark infused estoc? I use a hex mage so I already set him up with a dark estoc. :) The rapier only needs 5str 12dex, where the estoc requires 12/12, but yh it wasn't really a serious suggestion as it all depends on preference, if you don't like the parry on R2 the rapier is no good tbh.

I think the estoc is better, partly because there is the slashing attack for when that may come in handy. BSS scales with a B rating in Dex. Estoc scales with a C so if you're going based off scaling, BSS is better in the long run. Movesets are different though and you have to pick what you like the best.
