And I'd really recommend getting lance before doing any cox if you care about efficiency. And post-bowfa you can do zulrah whenever, technically most efficient to do post-occult but a lot of people might opt to do bowfa only rather than full switches. All this is to say, the most important thing about learning Zulrah is to not get discouraged. This is a difficult and punishing boss to learn, especially if you're doing it without access to a trident or other important pieces of gear. I would generally try just 2 attempts per day or so, and found myself improving quickly.
If you use serp helm it gives negative range and mage bonuses, which slows down your kills. Anti-venom is also cheaper than the cost of scales in a serp helm. I do 4 kills/trip so I prefer to bring 1 anti venom pot (4) and use my slayer helm (i) instead of a serp helm. Slayer helm is +3 range +3 mage attack, while serp is -5, so in the end ...

Potentially contrary opinion -- I attempted the tbow rebuild a while back and ended up selling the tbow after a month (and lost a bunch of money on it). I didn't like that I felt limited to zulrah, brutal black dragons, and sara, and ultimately got so bored with it I just decided I'd be happier with more general gear I could do any content with.Barraging is very expensive to the rune tab and really should be avoided for longevity. - I found taking breaks mid-inferno after a hard wave to be greatly helpful. You barely use scales. I still have 125k scales at 700~ kc using both trident of the swamp and serp helm. Only disassembled one dupe. Serp helm at Zulrah is 100% worth on an ironman. Was able to do 1 (maybe 2 if im lucky) kill trips using cure me to consistent 3 kill trips on one inv after using serp helm.
Tbow is best and then if you have masori and amethyst darts bp is better but gl getting that without bowfa. You use Bowfa at: All 4 gwd, Zulrah, Shamans, cox, toa, generally slayer, can use at kq, demonics, good item for cluescrolls, can use at Hydra, Inferno, Fight caves like there really is no end to it. It’s worse. MSB and blowpipe are king when it comes to low def. This does assume rune arrows in the msb, I’m unsure about broad arrows. I just went straight full crystal + bowfa + venga/cure me. That setup makes range only Zulrah viable and pretty chill since you don't have to switch gear. Never use bofa without crystal for any pvm, it's terrible. I’d use blessed d hides over elite void at Zulrah. Bow is a waste of money without the armor set.Use zulrah teleports. One use, it will open 1 inventory slot for your blowpipe switch. Do away with the cape pie and staff. Your profits will pay for the zulrah teleports + you get them as drops. As for the rest, make a note of how many eights you can make for each phase I thought your staff and your blow pipe.
