Like others have said, a 7-1/2 will break anything an 8 will, and an 8 will break anything a 9 will. Maybe for skeet with a wide choke, 9's would be a slight advantage. But for clays, I wouldn't trust 9's after 20 yards. I shoot 1 oz 7-1/2's at everything, and carry some 1-1/8th 7-1/2's for really long shots. Jack.
